INTERNATIONALLY THE MOST RESPECTED SAILING QUALIFICATION

During the week skills are honed in order to become a proficient sailor by day or night and in both familiar and unfamiliar waters. At the weekend, an RYA examiner comes aboard and assesses a short passage and various demonstrations of skippering techniques.
 The prerequisites for this course are: at least 2,500 miles and 50 days at sea, with at least 5 days as a skipper, 5 passages over 60 miles including 2 overnight and 2 as skipper, VHF Radio operators licence and a First Aid certificate.
