READY TO START SKIPPERING OFFSHORE?
This 5 or 7 day course teaches the skills and techniques required to skipper a yacht safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night. The course covers a number of areas many of them yacht leadership issues such as, passage planning, yacht handling under power and sail, pilotage and preparation for sea. However other areas of the course include meteorology, sailing in adverse weather conditions and dealing with emergency situations.
The pre course requesites are a the minimum seatime of: 15 days (2 as skipper), 300 miles and 8 night hours.
